Kansas City Renaissance Festival: This massive, long-running regional tradition is open weekends from September 5 through October 18, 2026 (plus Discovery Day on Monday, October 12). Held at the festival grounds at 633 N 130th St, it features jousting, turkey legs, artisans, and live entertainment. Tickets online range from $20.61 for children to $30.44 for adults.

International Linemen's Rodeo & Kid's Rodeo: Taking place October 15–17, 2026 at 630 N 126th St, this competitive event brings utility workers from around the globe . The 3rd Annual International Kid's Rodeo features competitive youth equestrian events on Saturday, October 17 starting at 7:00 AM. [5]

Bonner Springs Farmers' Market: Located at Centennial Park (126 Cedar St), the market runs every Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM through October. It offers fresh seasonal produce, pumpkins, and baked goods.

First Thursdays Downtown: This monthly community event occurs on the first Thursday of every month along the historic downtown corridor. It features local business pop-ups and shopping from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM (shifting to a 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM winter schedule as the weather cools).

Cars and Coffee: Held on the second Saturday of every month at Fuel House, bringing automotive enthusiasts together for morning coffee and car displays. [7, 10]

Outdoor & Fall Adventures

ZIP KC Fall Canopy Tours: Running from September 5 through November 8, 2026, at 12829 Loring Rd, visitors can book the popular 5-line Tower Tour to see the changing autumn landscape from up to 50 mph. Guests can use the promotional code to save 15% on booking fees through the end of the run.

Exiled - Trail of Terrors: Operating on select weekend nights from September through October, this intense haunted forest trail takes place in the woods outside the zip line park at 12829 Loring Rd. [8, 10]
